Tucson Dodgeball League Rules and Regulations

1. The first rule of Dodgeball is you will talk about Dodgeball.

2. The second rule of Dodgeball is YOU WILL TALK ABOUT DODGEBALL.

3. Games begin after the "captain" of a team shouts "GO!" Team members begin the game at the back wall holding a ball before the game players thgen race to the center line to obtain balls for their team. Balls may not be used until they cross the second white line.

4. Games end after everyone on a team is out. Game length is not dependent on time.

4. If this is your first time at Dodgeball, you have to play.

5. Outs:

• If a ball contacts your body (including all clothing, hair and anything connected to you) when the ball is not "dead," you are out.

- A ball is “dead” if it contacts any part of the playing field (including, but not limited to, the floor, ceiling, walls, and people who are already out). If a ball hits a player or another ball it is not dead.
• If you throw a ball and someone catches it before it is “dead,” you are out, and a player from the opposing team may re-enter the game.
- Players re-enter the game in the order which they got out (i.e. the first one out is the first to re-enter).
- If a player is hit and the ball that hit him is then caught, the hit player is not out. The thrower is then out, and a player may re-enter the game as usual.
- If a catch is made and no one is out, then no one comes in.

• Headshots, although they can be very funny, do not count as an out. “Headhunting” is not allowed.

• If a player crosses or steps on a boundary of the playing field they are out.

• A ball may be blocked by another ball; however, if it contacts any part of the blocking player before it is deemed dead, that player is out. Also, if you drop the ball you use to deflect, that is also counted as an out.

• All balls must be thrown; spiking, kicking, or punching balls do not count as an out.

Mason Says: you must talk about dodgeball!

If you're hit, you're out!

You can re-enter a game if a ball is caught, but it can be a long wait!
.
Headshots aren't allowed. They hurt!

Balls can only be thrown, not kicked or spiked.

Bad attitude is not allowed.
